Default New to Me M19-5

Another pawn shop save, M19-5. Added the bx, tools & paperwork just to make it look complete. Grips, egh...looking for something different. Like to find a set of round to square targets like what I've posted (square targets, incorrect fit). Only $525 all in including bx, tools & paperwork.

@WCCPHD, after looking at pics & descriptions here in different forums, a pretty good possibility. For my collection, perhaps I'll have it letter'd. Thanks for starting me ion the hunt for DSS.

Is there a hand written label on the box that matches the serial number of the gun? I ask because I have never seen a -5 in an old style two-piece box before.

Turns out the serial number falls in the ANP series.

That and the smooth target trigger leads me to believe it's a DSS.
Did it come with the Pachy's because those would also be correct on a DSS.

Nice find. I love those old blue boxes too. I always want to visit my local pawn shop in search of old S&W's...but I always get scared off at the front door. It's posted with "No Guns" signs...they have to buzz you in...and often there's a police officer working a detail there. That's three things that make me feel unwelcome.

Model 19 snubbies make my heart skip a beat....

Mine is an ‘AZZ’ prefix dated to 1988 and came with Pachs which I changed out to Spegel’s.
