Default 629-2

Won the bid at auction today on this 629-2 classic hunter. The cylinder was locked up and wouldn't open. Everything else appeared in order. They mentioned before auctioning that there was a problem with the cylinder.

Must have scared off the bidders as I got it for $500. Brought it home and gave the rod about one turn, and the cylinder opens fine. It does have some wear, but should serve its purpose for the price.

Thanks for looking.

That’s a great buy, a steal really. Congratulations.

I have a 8 3/8, great guns.

Weird that an auction house selling guns couldn’t / wouldn’t fix such an easy problem and get more money for their customer.

For $500 you did great! If you don't like it, you can clean and sell it for a nice profit.
