Default 625-3 3" DAO question. Comment on S&W store

First - S&w store has rosewood grips on sale. The N frame are $39 but no disc. Picked up a pair and they look good. Others on sale as well.

Now the 625 question. I found a 625-3 3" model of 1989 in a gunstore, put it on layaway for now. It was listed as a DAO SUPPOSEDLY converted by S&W. but it still has the normal hammer - as in not bobbed. I'm fine with it as I'm thinking as a ccw in cooler weather. Anyone see this done before and would it be easily converted back with just a hammer switch?
