Default M&P 340 question

Was comparing my 442-1 to my newly purchased 340. While I see both models have a frame bushing for the firing pin-the 340 appears to have a bushing for the cylinder center pin and the 442 does not. Is this correct?

So THAT'S what it's called! I own several J-frame Scandium .357 revolvers and they all have that bushing (I call it a 'collar') on the yoke. Got to be careful if you remove the cylinder unit for cleaning or you might lose this piece. And no, it's not on any of my .38 lightweight (442, 642, 637...) J-frames.

NOW I see what you mean! Confirmed. None of my .38 J-frame Airweights have that bushing while the J-Scandium mags, do.
