My only gun close to that is a 2.5" Model 19. That probably doesn't help you much:
However, I don't routinely carry that gun. I much prefer a 2" M64 (customized) or a 2" M649. I still have a M642, also, but I prefer the 649 for the ease of shooting, hitting the target, etc. Lightweight guns are just nasty. I certainly would never carry one loaded with .357 Magnum rounds. Truly nasty with no benefit.
DAO is not a problem for me. Some folks don't like it but I don't believe in cocking revolvers in a defense situation so I don't practice with them that way.

Why? Shooting a fixed sight revolver is easy and the most practical way to use your gun IMHO. Unless the gun is for some kind of competition I'd keep it simple.

John, if you will ever use the gun for pocket carry, definitely buy the Centennial-type gun. The looks of them has to grow on you, or at least it did with me, but now I almost consider a Chief’s Special odd looking.
BTW, I have and occasionally use a 340PD. In all honesty, 2-inch .357s don’t make much sense - and they’re not much fun to shoot - but they work fine with .38s.

Mine is almost always carried in my jacket pocket so an internal hammer was a must. It would be nice to have a single action trigger but between an Apex kit and practice I’m able to stage the double action trigger.

I'm torn between one with or with out an exposed hammer ..
I plan on pocket carrying it on occasion so am leaning toward the hammerless models .. But I still like the looks of one with a hammer ..
Difficult decisions .. Most of my coat pockets are large enough to be able to fire one with a hammer with out a misfire because of pocket is in the way ..decision, decision's ..

Here is another 32 H&R Magnum "PD".
It's a 431PD -- the exposed hammer version of the 432PD .
The carry ammo in the speedloader is Hornady 32 H&R Magnum Critical Defense.

I like the DAO guns. I have only one 357 Snub left. I have a few 38s. I left the hammer on my 36 but rarely use it. I Bobbed the hammer on my 37. The 442s are my favorite. I am not a pro shooter, not even close. I am a 50’ and closer plinker. I think I shoot just as accurate in double action as single at that distance.

They all have a job. One 360J stays in my pocket. The little 7 shot 22 Magnum stays in my wife’s purse. One of the 340-1 rides in my wife’s car. The other 2 are hidden in my home.

I really enjoy carrying both my model 60-7 and 64-4
IWB for the 60 and OWB for the 64.
Personally I am not a very big fan of hammerless or sperless revolvers...doesn't mean I wont buy and enjoy them lol
I ended up putting the original magna grips back on this 64

Changing Direction
The 360 was my go to guy until I practiced pocket carry with it. I’ll be trying a hammerless next. The model 60 is primarily a home protection piece

Smith and Wesson M&P 340 .357 magnum
Internal hammer
13.8 oz-super to carry
And .357 magnum
Wonderful to have a pocket full of 357 mags if you’d need them
Barely feel it most days, best of all, it will always be on you because it’s easy to carry.

In a lightweight, the 431PD and 432PD are both in 32 H&R Mag. The 432 has become one of my favorites.

Lots of folks here use the Mika Holsters. They are made to stay in the pocket while the gun easily slides out. Mine is a round cut but he also makes a square cut - just depends on your preference. Also different colors. Cost is about $30-35 last I checked.
Bob Mika makes them all special order. When I started buying them it would take him a week or two, now he’s out 6-8 weeks. He’ll even call after your order to verify. You will not be disappointed.
