SW Model 586 No Dash Nickle in 4" .. New Addition to the Collection ..
Hey Fella's .. Hope everyone is having a great summer. I been " trying " to lay low buying revolvers this summer. Been crabbing and clamming and gardening, keeping busy and staying out of the lgs.
Well driving past one of my favorite LGS my truck veered hard right into the parking lot. Truck had a mind of it's own LOL. Glad she did, this lgs always has a nice selection of used SW revolvers.
Picked up this beauty, SW Model 586, Nickle in 4" no M stamp, nice early production date of 1981, S/N # AAB082X, but it did have these Pach's on her, they will be changed out ASAP. Out the door for 525.00 ... Pretty happy, its my first Nickle Gun.
Here is a couple of pics. Looking forward to getting her to the range.

4" Nickel Model 586
That's a very nice Nickel 586. The 4" barrel is my favorite!

I just love a nickle gun and yours is a beauty! Very good price too! I just do not know what it is with all the good guns for sale wearing rubbers. They drive me crazy, such beautiful old guns and somebody has to ruin the look by putting on black dull rubber. Anyhow now I feel better after that little fit I hope you enjoy your sweet new to you gun.

You got yourself a keeper there, Raystown. I am a sucker for a nickel finish myself and have several model 27's in nickel.
Now you need to get yourself a nice set of wood stocks for that gun and shuck the goodyears. I'll be ordering a set of Culina stocks for my new purchase, a 29-6 Classic of mid-90's vintage and get rid of my goodyears.

That's a beautiful gun. Congratulations.
A few years ago I found an identical one for a friend. His wife would not let him keep it in the house. He ended up storing it in his garage.
The next time I saw it, it was ruined with rust. I no longer hang around with that guy.
