Beautiful set of grips. I'm expecting a call from John in a couple of weeks to run up to his shop and pick up a pair of English Walnut K Frames I ordered. John really does beautiful work! When you get yours, post a picture of them on your 629.

I like those a lot Pete.

Haven't seen a set like that before...………...very nice choice.
You may be a trend setter with those.

I will do that. Thank God I do not live close to them, but they are going to Oregon or Washington soon. I bought a set of K frame target olive wood too, and I need a gun to put them on. Blonde looks better on stainless IMO

Those are beautiful, Pete. Great score for you.

I just placed an order with John last week for a set of Bubinga wood round to square target conversions for my new to me 29-6, which came with the stock Hogue rubber grips. I figure I have at least a 6-8 week wait for them to be finished.

Maybe longer wait. I just caught them right when they were cutting some of this wood. Jennifer told me people wait 1 to 2 years for the wood I got, but even though they had the wood, she had originally said 12 weeks which turned into about 3 weeks

I bought these also. Italian olive K targets. They would look nice on a model 66 that I do not have. Not sure buying grips is a reason to get a gun. What is next, buy a box of ammo, to justify a new gun?

Pete, I'm pretty sure John said they were moving to Oregon when I was in the shop the last time. When I get the set of K-frame targets I ordered, I'm going to put them on my model 19 (4").
