Model 65-3 lands Friday
Made an online purchase of a Model 65-3 3” dao. I put my hands on it tomorrow, Friday...9/7/18. It’s slightly finish challenged both stocks and frame but nothing that some patient work won’t fix. I have received the info on posting pics so I am planning on doing before and after pics on the 65, won’t be that dramatic of a change but what the heck. My S&W family is now at a half dozen and if the picture posting goes well I’ll share the rest with the forum. 📷

That should be a great revolver. I can't seem to win a 3" k frame on my budget.

Congratulations, I think you'll be very happy with your 65-3. I stumbled across a 3" 65-3 a few months ago and wasted no time in buying it. Just qualified with it a couple of weeks ago, scored 100%, and now carry it for work. It's hard to beat a 3" K frame.

Three years ago I sold both my 60 and 66 so I’m pretty excited to get this 65. It’s wearing factory Smith round Combats.

I'm a 3" K frame addict and can't seem to stop buying them. They just feel perfect and are really about as easy to conceal as a 2 or 2.5".

Got it
Got it today and it looks better in person than in the ad. Very nice, solid, good feel and balance. A little heavier than I was thinking though. It’s a spurless hammer DAO but the trigger pull is a bit too heavy, get that fixed and this thing would be slick! Nice model, round butt S&W factory Combats. Glad to have it.

Went to the range today for the M65s’ first time out for me. Shot fmj .38’s and sjhp .357’s, the gun ran fine, a pleasure to shoot. The recoil with magnums very reasonable, not an issue. The rb combats are not quite long enough for my hands but they are reasonably comfortable. The 3” barrel shoots where you point, a little surprising for me as it’s the shortest barrel gun I have and I thought that might show.

I want to start posting pics but I now do most of my online stuff with an IPhone and I don’t know how to make it happen. I have gone to advanced settings, attachments, etc and still can’t do it. Don’t know if I should use my digital camera then use a hard line to the laptop or continue working to do everything on the IPhone. My apologies to the forum because I know it didn’t happen if there aren’t pictures to prove it, argh😫
