Default What Optics do you run on your 327s

Anyone running red dots? and if so what kind of accuracy are you ringing out of them. I'm considering using my Sig Romeo 4C. Anyone use one and what would your thoughts be? Sig assures me it can withstand the .357 recoil. I'm also considering a scope. Just haven't had a chance to check them out. Anyone prefer one over the other?

To me it depends on the use of the gun. If it is mostly all within 50 yards or less, I like a red dot. The Burris FastFire3 is great, but quite a few makers have a very similar type heads up unit. (More compact and lighter than the tube type red dots).

If I would be shooting greater that 50 yards, I wold begin to consider a scope. This would mostly be a hunting situation, and a 2-7X normally handles anything out to a couple hundred yards (which is the limit of my handgun shooting).

I use a leopuld on mine and really like it. No tube to look through.
I plan on getting the mount that replaces the rear site to get this red dot to sit lower.

Man...I love red dots on revolvers. I know it's not the "correct" thing to do with many people, but I love it set up that way.

On my 627, I'm running a 8MOA Burris Fast Fire III. It's really a solid sight, and very small/light. If I had one complaint its that when firing .357 magnum rounds, it tends to drift a bit. .38 spcl doesn't cause this. Figuring that this gun has been completely reworked, I only run .38 through it and I'm will to let the sight drift go.

When it came time to pop one on my 629, I didn't trust the Burris with that kind of umph and I shoot 44 magnum often. I used a 3MOA Primary Arms Gen 2 red dot and it's been completely reliable thus far. No drift of any kind, has held zero ever since I sighted it in. It's a larger, ugly thing...but it works very well.

Years ago, I had a Ruger Super Redhawk in 44 magnum and was running a Ultra Dot on it, never caused me a lick of trouble. By today's standards, it's a bit on the large side so I wouldn't go with this particular kind today

Very nice setup!

I use the Allchin mount...very solid, very well made and it mounts amazingly to the revolver.

Did not know that one existed, only knew about the Raptor Eng mount.
And of course I placed a Brownells order yesterday

I think the Raptor mount sits just a touch lower than the Allchin. I wouldn't hesitate to put that Burris on a 44 mag.

I like Burris 3, Leupold deltapoint Pro a bit better and Nikon P-Tactical on par with Leupold. Also the Nikon is about $150 less than Leupold.

Nice Red dots guys. Are those dedicated red dots? Just the one reticle type, it being a dot? The tube I have on my TRR8 has a lot of cool features. It has a solar cell, motion on/off, auto brightness/dim and has the dot & the Aim Point type reticle. I've tried those low profile ones before on a XDM in 3 gun. It was good for action shooting. I'm trying to have the best of both. Target acquisition and precision. I wish My Elite 1x4 had long eye relief. It has a red dot and the fine cross hair reticle.
