Well, I picked her up tonight after work and I wasn’t disappointed in the least. As a matter of fact I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was it in it’s original box but it also had All the docs. and goodies!!, an unopened pkg. With the mop, brass brush and sight adjustment tool! This little sweetheart is practically spotless and has narry a turn line to boot. ( that will change soon)

Very nice indeed. This 29-5 is square butt and wears factory grips. Joe

Now to mount the Burris Fastfire III on it and get her out to the range for a test drive!

You did well. I was watching another identical one on GB that claimed to be mint in box and "rare" and that went for $350 more. I can't see any wear at all on yours, and if there is, it's not $350 worth. I want more red dots on revolvers. I finally put one one my 629 6 1/2", and I love it. I think my 5" 686 would be a good candidate. I've had a Fastfire 3 on my Range Officer .45 for over 4000 rd with no trouble, and that's riding a moving slide.

Completely sweet! I highly recommend the X frame tamer from Hogue, as others have said. They had only been available from S&W in the past but now also from Hogue for $29. Totally worth it upgrade for large hands, long fingers or both as I have. That gun will be very accurate. Mine is.

Had a 5” just like that a few moons ago. It had a smooth factory trigger pull very accurate. You have a nice gun there, waiting for a range report. Larry

Kinda like Christmas!!! I bet you had one of those little kid grins when you picked up the gun and saw all the goodies too. I see lots of smoke and spent cases in your future!!

Geez, she wasn’t even dressed in her New shoes yet.

LoL, I couldn’t resist. Tomorrow I get out of work on time for a change so I’ll get the FF III mounted. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to the range until Saturday morning. I’ll definitely be making up for that with a couple hundred rounds of my reloads tested and this baby put through her paces.

I've a 6" that I shot so much that the grips split right through where the tin S&W inserts are . Can't get new ones anymore. take them off and set them aside and get a cheap pair of Houges for shooting and think about a pair of wooden ones for storage and looking at
