Default Barrel sleeve rifling finish question......

For you folks with new revolvers with few or no rounds shot...do the rifling grooves appear to be polished almost mirror like where the bore or lands are a satin like finish? With my bore light in there the grooves have a mirror like finish!

Was looking at the bore of my M69 that I just got back from S&W repair where they replaced the barrel and I don't remember the original rifling looking that well finished/polished in the grooves. From looking at the cylinder at least 5 rounds were fired.

The slickest looking rifling I have seen on a stock factory barrel...hope it shoots as great as it looks!!

My 327 came back with all 8 charge holes fired. The lands and grooves look sharp, but mine has copper on them at the moment. I agree th bore looks good on mine.

Here are a couple of pictures. I haven't cleaned the barrel and it looks better than the pics show.

A clean barrel will look different than a dirty one. Spend some time with a good cleaning kit and then look down the bore.
