Default my new to me 27-7

I liked this one before I knew what it was. I did know it was a .357 and that was about it.

I just liked the looks of it and I liked holding in in my hands.

Had no idea they only made 100 of them. Looking forward to slinging some lead with it.

It's a fine traditional looking revolver. Especially, with the long tapered barrel. Very reminiscent of the old pre-war Registered Magnum. Eight-shot I assume, but I could be wrong.

Did you get the box? I'd sure like to know the Product Code and Spec. Ord. number for my personal database.

I really like this one a lot. I love the looks and the feel but it needs a good cleaning to make it shine.

Yes it is an 8 shot and I didn't get a box with this one.

Kind of surprises me with soo few made that someone didn't keep anything other than the gun itself.

Nice score man. Those sure are nice guns and I wish S&W would make some more. But I won't pay the going rate for the ones on GunBroker as they are sky high.

Very nice, they did a nicer job of checkering than they did on some of the earlier guns.

Kernel,

Muddocker mentioned seeing one on GunBroker so I went and looked at it. Once I saw how it was packaged I knew that I had seen the box before and look what I found this morning.

You have no idea how happy I am. (insert huge smilie)

Congratulations

These are some of the best shooting Model 27s that the factory has ever produced.

There are only 6 variations of the 8 shot model 27 and less than 2000 pieces total were produced over the years

Most of the 8 shot 357 Magnums manufactured over the past two decades are stainless or Scandium

I had no idea. This is the first 8 shot 357 I'v ever seen. I liked it before I knew it held 8 rounds. I liked it before I even knew what it was.

Thanks for sharing the picture and the info.
