Very nice "duos" and great pics. You're right about John's grips, they'd make dirt look good!

Wow, what a sweet pair of 3" N-Frames! And unfluted too with full under-lugs, I'm drooling!

Tell me more about the M29-4 "Davis Custom" and the work he did. I love those grips as they are certainly exotic. I'd love to have a "thinned out" pair in round butt configuration!

Pic of my 3" girls! I'm selling the M629-8 "Deluxe" to my brother as I just acquired the Mountain BackPacker and I need to offset some of that cost. The Deluxe was the most "borrowed" handgun of the day at the last "Farm-Shoot Day" I sponsored in March. I thought 225 rounds of .44mag and .44special would certainly be more than enough. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't and so were my buddies.

Don’t have a duo, but do have a M24-3 3”. This gun will stay in the family and won’t be sold.

Thank you! I am a huge fan of irregular features, such as Unfluted cylinders and full underlug barrels!

I need to do some research on the Bill Davis Custom 29-4 I have, I really don’t know too much about it other than the fact the trigger is polished and the trigger job done on it is just out of this world smooth!

Anybody have an idea how many 29-4’s he did? Or is that pretty much un-knowable?

My first 24-3 3” has trigger work done by Apex tactical, and is what I use as my backup while hunting. That’s my favorite revolver to carry, and I’ll never part with it! So I know exactly what you mean, when you say yours will never be sold!!

Sure thing Nathan. Here's a "Triplet" of 3" 44 Specials.

And a "Triplet" of 3" 44 Mags.

Beautiful duos! Thanks for sharing!!

I have two model 66 3”ers,
A model 66-2 that is a shooter, and a 66-3 that is New In Box.

I just recently traded back with a buddy to get my 3” Model 60-4 which I believe is one of the two 3” J-Frames you have pictured. I plan on picking up a model 36-7? The 3” Tsrget equivalent of the model 60-4 as a safe companion/twin. I love be matte black bead blast finish it has.

Still need to pick up a nickel 27-2 3.5” to accompany my Blued, thanks for the reminder! So much to buy, so little time!

There we go! Some beauties!!!
.44 Special is my favorite shooting caliber, and I got to love a Pencil Barrel 3”! Talk about sweet!

Very nice 4 screw LH .44special, if I am not mistaken, is there a nickel twin to that as well? Square butt, modern Diamond Magna Re-productions?

I just picked up the .44mag version, Square butt, 4-screw, Pencil Barrel, Blued, IL unfortunately. But 1/200 if remember correctly. Need to track down the Nickel Equivalent of that.

Well, if by "duo" you mean same or similar gun, different features, the best I can do are these two 4" N frames, a M27 and a M25:

But if you mean only the "same" gun then these Model 10s will have to be included:

Honestly, if "Bill Davis Custom" is still in business then I'd give them a call. I did the same for the M29-3 Lew Horton Special I pictured and they gave me the in's & out's of my favorite Revolver! Lew Horton also confirmed that a prior M29-3 that was on GunBroker being sold as a LHS was in fact, NOT a Lew Horton gun. This info got me out of the bid because it was misrepresented...

Un-fluted cylinders, full length under-lugs, and combat carry/bobbed triggers are heavily favored in my tastes as well. However I don't have an un-fluted cylinder gun in my collection or carry rotation. Of course after seeing yours and some other member's beautiful examples I'll have to fix that now.

I'd like to know more about the special order distributors that spec'd their orders to Smith. I love Lew Horton's and now Bill Davis' ideas/Spec's List on these 3" barreled "N-Frames!" Your BDC is the first one I've ever seen and it's piqued my interest.

I don't have any duplicates except a 15-2 NIB 1972 with olive wood Culina's, and a hardly fired 15-3 1975 with mid 70's factory rosewoods.

Some beautiful pieces you guys have!!!

This probably does not count because of the different bbl lengths, but here is a set of M57's, NIB 1980, no dash 4" & 6"

My only other Revolver Duo pictured below. I love these little late 70's productions babies. I carried the nickel one in my front pocket in a Desantis "Nemisis" holster tonight in this 85* Georgia heat. Nickel resists sweat and the dreaded aftermath of sweat, "rust" so well and only 2nd to that of an Anodized finish! I sweat more than 90% of people though due to my Scottish genes... YMMV...
