I don't have the best eye for details like some folks do but I see an unfluted cylinder and interesting stocks that are different from my 3" 686+. Oh, and maybe no lock - am I seeing no lock?

Did I get that right?

You'll love that gun.

Oh, It's got a lock. It's just the angle of the pic. You can see the "L" and the little arrow pointing you to the lock, in case you don't know how to use it. I have the same gun in the 5" version. Love the gun, hate the grips. I put the N frame grips from my 629-6 Classic on mine. They don't really fit right but they sure feel great. That's my nightstand gun these days. Great shooter.

That looks very nice to me. I'd already have one but my locals think they command MSRP+.

Congratulations, I saw a Talo 686 for sale once, but went for the R8. I ended up with a regular 686+. It is a good revolver, but I like the unfluted cylinder.

Very nice, Steve. I work in the Gun Library at Cabela's, and when we can buy one of these we know it won't be around long - one of the highest demand revolvers extant. Yours is especially pretty. Thanks for posting great pix.

I didn't realize that it was a Talo edition. I thought it was what S&W calls the "3-5-7 Magnum Series."

Congrats, mine is one of my favorites, but the factory stocks had to go. Went with Ahrends.

Apparently it was Talo at one time. Now it's not, but everyone selling it still typically calls it Talo. Matters not to me. Same gun either way.

The .357 Collection — TALO Distributors Inc

I notice the grips in their pic look brown, but the description says "black/silver" so pretty sure it's unchanged from the current model (Which the S&W site does not call Talo.)

Is S&W not doing distributor specials anymore?

Well, we're doing our part. I just picked up a new 686 this week also. Love the gun,,, it's a 4" and shoots just like my 686-4 6".
