I have not seen a 631 for sale in years, the one you found sounds dirt cheap to me.

I believe there was a thread a few years back that talked about 631 values. I think the one you found is a steal

The 2" 631 is uncommon and the Lady Smith variation downright rare. Good luck in your decision and don't run any red lights getting back to the shop .

Buy it now! I paid $600 for one four years ago and thought it a good bargain at the time. Post pictures after you get it.

I didn’t buy it, but a friend and forum member did. He saw it first, thinking it was a Model 60 and asked to see it. He’ll post it up if he wants to.

Guilty, I bought it.

Unfortunately no box, but I did get two boxes of Hornady Critical Defense ammo with it for a bit less than asking price.

I cleaned it up and waxed it. It has been fired, but not much. I could not find a mark on it.

Photos are not great, I will set up the light box and get some better ones soon.

Congratulations. A beautiful scarce revolver and economical price to boot.
I bought one NIB and it was WAY more than that.

Congrats on that. Did you watch for red or blue lights in your mirror when you left the shop?

You got a great deal on that 631! I'd have paid that in a heartbeat! I have an identical 631. Mine is the LadySmith version also. Same condition with no box. Mine also has the smooth rosewood stocks. I paid $600 for mine. It is one of my favorite shooters. In fact I had it out to the range last week!

Default 631?

There were 5474 guns made in 1990. The 2" non Lady Smith is the hardest to find with 190 made and the rest were 4" guns and 2" Lady Smiths! Be careful, the 32 mags can get additive(and expensive)!
