Default Model 19-4 original grips

I just inherited the model 19 I learned to shoot with. Have absolutely loved the gun since I was a kid. My dad wore it as a duty gun and the grips are heavily worn (especially right side) I've had no luck finding original wood grips for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction where I might get a set?

Lots of them available on eBay. Could have been non-diamond magnas or non-diamond targets. If yours has target hammer and target trigger it likely came with target stocks. Here's mine.

Most model 19s indeed shipped with the target stocks; since OP's is a -4, it very likely had the speedloader instead of the football cutout, though.

You may well be correct, I have two 19-4s, one with football cutout and one with the speed loader cutout. No way to prove the stocks came on either one though. Here's the one with speedloader cutout for comparison.

This dash-4 dates to 1978 (37K86xx) which to me is a little early for the relieved targets but they look pretty nice so I don't worry about it too much.

How worn is heavily worn?
My $0.02.
If the grips are still functional then leave it alone.
There is a pitted and rusted M1902 Colt used to kill pigs in the back of the family restaurant in the early 1900’s coming my way and theres no way I would ever try to make any changes to it except maybe RemOil.
