Any genuine S&W wood conversion grips?
I have a m29-8 PC round butt, I put Altamont rnd to sqr grips on it and they look good but aren’t chunky enough to shoot comfortably. Did S&W ever make a large target wood “conversion” grip that fits a N-frame?
Thanks

I'm thinking that Mr. Culina makes some, but you'll have to check to make sure. His forum username is 'Kurac', and his wife's is 'Grip Maker's Wife'(I believe that she handles orders & etc.). Maybe one of them will respond to your inquiry here.
Best wishes,
Andy

I know Hogue makes round to square conversion grips, but that may not be what you are after.

Indeed, John Culina makes round to square conversion grips for his target stocks for N frame revolvers. I happen to own 2 sets myself. I have one set on my 629-3 Classic 6 1/2" barrel and the other set is on my 29-6 Classic 5" barrel.
BTW, his target stocks are modeled off the old "Coke" style, not off of the larger, blockier models that replaced the Cokes. They are extremely comfortable for me to shoot with.
Here is a pic of each for you to check out.

I took these stocks off of my M29-3 Lew Horton Special... I only planned to swap them for the long weekend but... they wore so damned well and shot so well on this Mountain Back Packer that they are probably going to stay until I can get another set of these Goncalo Alves "Combats"... They fit my big mitts like they were fit just for me!

John & Jennifer Culina best solve this problem. They make fantastic S&W grips.
