Default 631 Lady Smith Box

I recently found a Model 631 Lady Smith .32 H&R Magnum. The gun did not come with a box and I was curious as to what type of box the gun shipped in.

I have seen other Lady Smith models that came in hard "jewellery" cases or in cloth type gun bags/rugs.

Does anyone know how these guns were originally shipped?

Thanks,

Bill

I'm pretty sure the 631 was shipped in the one-piece folding blue and white box with the inner folding liner and black trigger guard plug, but I am not certain.

Depending on its age, it may have shipped in an unlined maroon plastic case with the muzzle to the left, or a vinyl covered fitted jewelry style case in a similar color with the muzzle pointing right.

They were only made a couple years.

I sold mine in the original box last weekend at a show in Rawlins, Wyo. rbmac52 gave you the right answer.
