Default Fun Day in the Gun World

Soon after my flight from Manila landed, I grabbed my buddy and we headed to a gun show in Reno.

After completing my rounds and leaving fingerprints on a couple 27s, I spied a pristine 3” 13-3 with all the goodies for $800. After a nice chat, I handed the seller $775 and walk out with my new 13-3 and a smile.

Later that night we were sitting around his place shooting the breeze as he admired my new acquisition. He immediately decided he needed one and started searching Armslist, but to no avail. Somewhere in the conversation he mentioned his 3” 625-3 .45 Caliber Model of 1989, with the box, docs and tools - he bought it new and only fired 30 rounds through it. We swapped straight up.

Value is subjective, I may have kept the 13, but that is what I want so I may not be thinking clearly.

I hear ya.
He’s actually pretty gun savvy. After reviewing the completed auctions on GB and really wanting the 13-3, we both entered the deal informed. I did throw in a couple of Benjamins worth of leather and accessories. We also both agreed not to sell without giving each other first right of refusal.
