Model 629-4
I'm such a sucker for a 4" barrel, anything. This time it's a 629-4. S/N is in the BSE0XXX range. Target hammer. The trigger is not as wide as a full target trigger, and is smooth. Both trigger and hammer are case hardened.

My 629-4 is a Mtn Gun, and is my all time favorite Smith, with it's 32 ounce trigger and patridge front sight.

Looks much better with those wood target stocks ,then the Hogue rubber ones it came with.

Triggers come in four sizes: .265" smooth or grooved, .312" smooth, .400" smooth or grooved and .500" grooved.

I picked mine up a few yrs back @ a gunshow in Az . I pd $775 , it came with target grips . Didn't appear to have been shot much . I have no intention of selling . I like full target grips on the longer barrel guns . On the 4" barrel I prefer magna's , when I can find them . Regards, Paul
