The 625-10 is a really nice carry snubbie.
The 629 is for serious business.

Here's another, my Brazilian "Project" gun... About 3 1/4" Bbl. .45 ACP or (my favorite), .45 Auto Rim.....
Best Regards, Les

Yes, this revolver is part of that run. I have VZ-grips on this one, and put the original 'rose wood' grips on another 'N-frame'.

ImDrRichard, That's a 3" barrel on a Talo Dist gun. I hated the Altamont hand shredders on it and put the tulip wood Hogue boot grips on.

It's not a S&W, but it's the gun S&W never made that they should have. I accidentally bought 2 this month. One with a spurred hammer, one with the factory bob. IMO one of the most underrated revolvers of all time. Taurus 445. I am in love with it, I'm sort of ashamed to admit.

I have been concentrating on J and K frames. You guys have me thinking more N frames. I only have one snub S&W a 29-3 Lew Horton 3”. I also have a gun I carry when fly fishing for bear spray that weighs 20oz, it’s a titanium Taurus 450 in 45 Colt.

No need to be ashamed for owning a fine 445! I'm tickled pink with mine. Easy carry, easy to shoot, easy to fall in love with!

Nice collection! Is the stainless Revo on the far Right with the full under-lug a "Mountain Back Packer" model? If so that is really cool as I have one and have only heard of/seen pics of 2 other members on here and AR15.com that have one. I bought a set of Lew Horton's with the thumb recess on both sides tonight to go on my "MBP" as the LHS grips fit my hands like they were molded just for me!
Pic of mine with my back up M642 for "Woods-Carry". I bought my wife an M642 just like it a couple weeks ago.

Second from top is NIB 629-1 3”. At the bottom is a Lew Horton distributor special 29-10 3” tapered barrel square butt. One of 250 in blue. LH also ordered 250 in nickel.

That's a beautiful Revo you have there! A balanced 3" barreled LHS or a 3" 629-5 has became my favorite handgun(s) I've ever used/carried.
The younger generation doesn't know what its missing out on with these reliable, hard hitting, truly tough, and near perfect works of art these Smiths are. The "plastic firearm generation" thinks it needs 18 rounds of spray to get the job done... It's starting to turn though their thoughts and attitudes in regards to the Revolver. More and more the 25-40 year olds are coming over to me and my brother at the indoor club we go to asking questions and asking to shoot a cylinder full after seeing what can be done with a modern Revolver @ 25 yards. The best is when they see me put 5 thru my M36 as fast as I can stay on target at 10 yards, lay it down, and pull another M36 or a M642 from my front pocket NY style and lay down another quick burst of fire... right into an IDPA or B27 silhouette torso just when they thought I was out of ammo. Just like below!

The only true "snubby" of the big bore variety in my posession, is my 2" 44 special, a Taurus model 445 (seen above somewhere) that is a 1988 or '89 IIRC. A couple of 3" S&W big bore sweethearts, that are often considered snubbies, are this 625-6 45 acp, and another 44 special, as in a 696 ND revolver.
I personally don't crave a 44 magnum of any barrel size myself, but I do especially enjoy shooting my 4" big bore model 25-5 of the 45 colt persuasion. It's my "stretch snubby" LOL! I do hope to find a 2" or 3" version in that marvelous caliber some day soon.

I don't have any S&W revolvers bigger than .38/.357, but I do have this pair of .44 Special Taurus Model 431s, a 2 1/2" and a 3". They both fit in most K-frame holsters. More designs that S&W should've made.

I shot mine a bunch this weekend and it is laser accurate, shoots perfectly to POI. I was bullseyeing 25yds all day and could shoot a fly at 10yds. LOVE the 445!

They're older models, mid-90s IIRC. I got them, one right after the other, on GB. Both were less than $500. The stainless is factory mirror-polished (I've been told, anyway) and still looks great. And the blued one has near-flawless fit and finish, kinda surprising if you listen to the folks who hate Taurus in general. The actions are smooth, they lock up pretty tight and there doesn't seem to be any endshake. I doubt seriously they were fired much.... and as stout as the recoil is in these light guns, I can see why.
I've since replaced the grips on both... I even found a set of Eagle Secret Service grips for the blued one on Ebay for roughly 20% of what they go for new. I think the guy priced them low thinking he'd never sell expensive grips for a TAURUS.

What an ugly and near worthless piece of s*&^%.... Just kidding man... I love 3" barreled Lew Horton's and your one and only stainless LHS is certainly no exception. In fact, I just may sell something else so I can justify picking/bidding up another one today! I'm thinking a stainless LHS would match my 2 blued Lew Hortons nicely and give my stainless 629-3 Mountain Back Packer a nice new like friend!

For me... that 69 Combat along with a nice pair of 80's OEM Smith combats and you have the perfect "Combat Magnum"...

You made up for just having (1) by having a "hellofa" only big bore for sure! Tell me more about those grips! Are they "Eagle" branded or styled grips? I'm pretty sure I've seen that profile before that caught my eye and Eagle is the style or something similar. Again, nice carry companion!

How did you swing the consecutive serial numbers? You must know someone at Smith or a distributor! Good for you brother and this is the most impressive picture post I've seen in a long time. I have one question though... where's the .44Mag? Just kidding...

My 3” 629 PRELOCK VCOMP will have to do for that

While some may not think of the 610 as a true Big-Bore... But I consider anything .40caliber/10mm as the entry level threshold into "Big-Bore" category for sure! Anything .40 to .50 caliber in the Big Leagues in my opinion!
Nice 610... I've always wanted a non-fluted cylinder big bore. I bet it balances a hair better than a fluted cylinder because the extra weight is all behind the barrel. My M24 Lew Horton balances better than my M29 Lew Horton does because the M24's cylinder is shorter and it's barrel is a tapered profile; than my M29 with it's "full-bull profile" I like to call it. But choosing which one I like shooting better would be like choosing which one of my dogs, (both have saved my skin more than once), I love more!
