Respectfully disagree, Sir. You mean to tell me, you like quince pie?

My mil asked me one time, which is your favourite? Which of my kids. And I know she has a favourite. I said, nope! No, no. They are all my favourites! I Love them all. Your Favorite Smith Revolver

That's my answer. Love them all.

I agree with the "I like them all" idea, but there is this one.

It's a 3" Baby Chiefs Special that shipped in July 1953. The "men" of the Queens precinct of the NYPD gave it to their lieutenant for Christmas that year.

It's worn, was rusty, and I've been known to carry it often. Yeah, it's my favorite!

10-8 in .38. My off-duty gun long after autos made their appearance. It now wears some nice stocks in retirement.

I really like them all but if I had to pick one...
It would be my old 629 a 4” dash one
Been back to Springfield two times for a tune and tighten
It wears an old set of troopers that I’ve refinished and lives an easier life now

I've managed to acquire 46 Smith revolvers, the oldest from 1867, but of them all the L frame 586 purchased new in 1995 is my favorite. A model 15 is close behind.

Default Standing up for the little guy!

I love all of my Smith and Wesson revolvers (even the one with the lock)..... However, I want to put forth my model 60 - no dash.... Tiny little thing......but a very loyal and trusted friend.

Just for you, Chris...and yes, it's a favorite. 442 in .38, purchased in the LAPD Revolver Club store. Sticky electrician's tape as a grip wrap. Got the holster on probation and still use it, 35 years later. Probably due for an oil change.

I would say my 4" 686 no dash would do just about everything I would want in a revolver. One of my .44 mags would be a close 2nd

Nice gun OP. Not sure I could pick one...if I were to, I'd think something along the lines of a 4" .44 or 3" variant, prior to the IL. The round is very flexible and can be very tame (.44 spcl.) or standard (+) depending on what you want. Big, slow moving, Keith bullet, is fun at the range.

My 3 inch 27-2. It still gets plenty of exercise about 2-3 times a month. It has a strictly business look about it.

I can't pick a favorite, either. My three S&W's are a sensitive bunch and if I pick one over the others, they might gang up on me. It's like having a set of triplet kids and saying you like one of them better than the others.

My three P&R Magnum "kids":

Of my five S&W revolvers, the newest one is my favorite. My TRR8; I just love the looks, the feel, the accuracy and how effortless it is to shoot...

Like many others, I like all of my S&W revolvers. But I do have a favorite.
It is my Model 19-4. I got it when it was new back in the 70s I think.
At the time, and for many years, it was the only handgun I had and it
served me well.

Those stocks are Jordan Troopers by Herretts. Notice I have a McGivern
gold bead up front.

Some of it's favorite rides, second from left by Seventrees.
Third from left a model 614 by Myres. 4th from left a Lawrence model 34.
and 5th from left by Berns-Martin.

When You have had a gun fifty years you tend to accumulate some leather.

Default M24-3 " Lew Horton

Currently I'm all GAGA over my newest addition to the family. A S&W M24-3 Lew Horton edition. 3" Barrel and Horton grips. Right Hand shooter only.

I'm sure next week I'll have a new "favorite" but today...it's this bad boy.

Mines probably my 3.5 pre 27 or my 2nd American model 3 (it might be a Russian I don’t know it’s been re bored). I have guns that shoot better and handle better but to me being just over 30 it’s the history and craftsmanship. They’re just so cool. I also have a pre 30 that’s special because my wife gave it to me and because it was the very 1st S&W in my collection.
