Default Gunsite 250 model 10 project from gunblast

Has anyone seen the gunsite 250 revolver on gunblast? I really like the dovetailed in front sight. It would have been cool to see some of the gunsmith special M10s get snagged up and made into a limited release gunsite edition just like this one.

Overall I think it is a great take on a combat handgun and I would love to see the exact some thing done to a model 57, for no reason other than I love the 41.

Looks like a heavy barrel chopped to about 3" on a round butt non heavy frame (same as J&G frames). Sides of barrel slabbed and then a dove tail for front sight added. Half the hammer spur was cut off.

Wouldn't be hard to do.

I looked the article up and read it. They put a whole lot of expensive work into the guns and I have no doubt that they are outstanding revolvers.
However, for us average shooters, my standard 3" Model 10-8 would probably serve just as well.
To me the gun is more of a collectible. It would be a pride in ownership type thing.

Very interesting... that is almost exactly what I have planned for my next J&G model 10 project!

I was planning to use another 'smith in town, but I may have to drive out to Fink's tomorrow and have a chat with them.

I did the same to a S&W M65 several years ago.

Nice, but I don't know what it offers (other than that front sight) that I don't already have in my stock 3" Model 64. Even though it is a MIM, IL, 2 piece barrel Model 64-8, it has the nicest trigger right out of the box, and shoots where I point it.
