Default 686+ 2.25"w/lock vs 686-4 6 shot 2.25"

I've been looking at a newer version 686 plus 2.5" and 686 6 shot 2.25" for the same money. The 686-4 appears to be in great condition and little used. If that is the case, is the 686-4 a better deal/more desirable for the same $$? No box w/686-4.

I would go with the 686-4 . I have a plus model 2.5" but would just as well have the 6 shot. The 2.5" 686-4s hold their value very well. Also have a 686-4 six inch , probably my all time favorite Smith I have owned.

Last year I bought a new 586-8 four inch and later a 586-4 four inch. I like the -4 much more and most likely will sell or trade the -8.
