I think it is sad that Ruger is supporting the 327 federal magnum S&W is really missing the opportunity to get back onto the band wagon!!

I also wish that someone beside Henry would make a rifle for this fine cartridge. I have a Henry in 327 and I love it.

HKS makes a K-32 speedloader, but I’ve never seen a range block to go with it.

This is thread drift but I do shoot em out of an I frame 32 hand
ejector.

I've been reading a lot about CIA folks during the Cold War.
During that reading I heard about Harry J Archer and his use of
heavy weight 32acp loads.

Here's some heavy loads discussed @ castboolits.gunloads.com:

From Handloads.com "Experiences with a .32".

I'm looking real hard at Accurate Molds 31-90B bullet

http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_...=31-090B-D.png

Post 76 of the Cast Boolits link has this bullet going 999fps out
of a M1935 Beretta with 3 gr of Winchester Auto Comp. That is
.380 grade.

SO I bought a 32 Hand ejector, CZ 27, Walther PP & Beretta 81.

Rim Rock Bullets sells the 75gr Flat point Buffalo bore uses in
their 32ACP load.

.32 ACP 75 gr. FP per 500

Years ago I got a 30 ammo can full of various 32acp mostly S&B
73 grain ball and 4 boxes of Corbon 60gr jhp's when I bought a
Kel Tec P32 . I've processed the brass and am going to load
some spook ammo the boys on the farm would approve of.

The Beretta 81 is out in the truck and it's too cold right now for
me to get it.

I've got the speedloader. A range block is a huge help. I may have to make my own.

I have become an I frame 32 long freak. The action can be adjusted to work like glass and the better half loves them.

Are you looking for a block to hold 25 or 50 rounds in straight lines, or in circles for the speed loaders to pick up easily? If you want the straight line blocks, Sinclair sells some really nice white nylon blocks in both numbers and sized for 38s and 223s (which fit 32s. if I remember correctly.

I'm trying to figure out how to con a machinist friend into helping me make a program for the pattern of a K-frame 6 shot cylinder, then I could just make up range blocks in whatever numbers I desired. Back in my old PPC phase I never found a block for my 38s that fit to suit me, but I never got around to making my own.

I'd like to add a K-32 block as well as the K-38 block I should have made about 30 years or so ago. I've been planning a range box for my K-Masterpiece trifecta, so maybe I could incorporate those two and perhaps even a K-22 block into my design, I was actually thinking of just straight line loading blocks, but speed loader blocks might be a nice touch, huh?

Does this make me a junkie? Model 16-4 with extra .32 S&W Long cylinder, a .32-20 WCF cylinder, and the .32 H&R Mag cylinder was reamed out for the .327 Federal Mag round, so I can shoot either round.

She has a Model 30-1 with a slightly lightened coil mainspring (of course) and she has no problem with trigger weight. She likes the later, non-flat thumb latch, but I think I could have lightened up the spring on a flat latch by a coil or two if she had needed it to be able to reload easily. Before your daughter gives up on that improved I frame completely, just a little spring modification might be all she needs. Easy enough to be worth trying!

too late, the LCR .327 won her over. of course its loaded with .32 Longs and even I am jealous of its trigger pull. I bought her a Walther PP .32 and while the single action follow up shots are easy, the stiff initial double action takes some of the fun out of it for her. Ruger hit a homerun with the LCR for folks who want the best trigger you can get off the shelf in a J frame sized gun.

I'm wonering if there isn't some tubing you could cut to sleeve a .38 range block for .32s?

BTW, the first .32 (a .32 WCF ) S&W I ever bought about 1984 is still a favorite. .32 H&R is another favorite round. No great desire for the .327, as it's hotter than needed for competition and isn't allowed for hunting in my state.

Default 31-1

Have several S&W 31-1's. Perfect revolver for my wife. More punch than a 22 cal, but doesn't scare her like a 38 cal. Tried teaching her to shoot a .380 pistol, but that was too involved for her. So the 32 cal works great!

I got what was a 6" barrel that S&W cut off a M16 to change it to a 4" gun. It isn't quite 5" long, but can be made into a 4-3/4, I think. I will post build pics when I get time to build it. Still have to find a M16 or M17 cylinder for it.
