Default 629-4 in the house.

Picked this 629-4 long tube up yesterday.

Still had the original receipt under the foam....$430 back in 1995.

Has been shot very little.

Let see if I can hit the broadside of a barn with it

Looks like a “time capsule” gun. Very nice! Congrats on finding that one.

Round- or square-butt frame?

Try it from inside the barn first.

Very nice .44! With that thing you ought to be able to hit the narrow side of a barn from a long way away. Congrats!

That's a nice snag. Most of the long tube dash 4s I see are full lug barrel Classics. It'll do better than hitting a barn, that's a 200 meter steel ringing gun. I have one on my radar whenever it's current owner decides to turn it loose. I do have its blue brother, a 29-6. Congrats!!

That gun right there is one of my favorite configurations. I have an earlier -4 version with the square butt and it’s a phenomenal shooter. I really want a round butt version to go with it

Did you get it for $430? I'm betting you paid significantly more... around here that would be about $1000 more than the original price.

Default purchased price

Was able to pick up locally from a private seller for $650.

He wanted to do a partial trade on the 457S I purchased from him a few years ago but I didn't want to trade.

Hi Pete!

That's a beautiful Model 629-4! Congratulations!

I showed your photos to my only 629-4 and I think mine has come down with a severe case of barrel envy.

As has already been stated, I can't wait for a range report!
