Default M&P Bodyguard 38?

That name is a mouthful isn't it?

I have a Model 38, 442, and 642 but my daughter wants something different. She's attracted to the M&P Bodyguard 38 with the laser.

The guy at the store where we were looking had nothing good to say about the gun. Mostly because he had bought one and it had problems.

Anyone know of any systemic problems with this gun?

There've been plenty of threads on this topic. I'd suggest doing a search.

However, it seems the consensus is that it'd be better to avoid the M&P Bodyguard .38 and choose something else.

Thanks. There does seem to be a fair number of problems. Maybe an LCR (oh, the heresy!).

When I worked in Gun Shops I never heard of problems. People didn't like the grip or the position of the cylinder release. The 442/642 outsold them many times over. These days every time I look at a Gun Forum someone is having a problem with a different Gun brand. It's a crapshoot what to buy.
