Welcome to the Forum
The 625 V-Comp has always been my GOTO revolver for pin matches.
With my Moonclips loaded with 45 SUPER ammunition I had enough muzzle blast to make the V-comp effective while having plenty of pin throwing energy on the projectiles
Using just 45ACP ammunition, the V-comp is not very effective at controlling muzzle climb. If you look under the foam in the case, you will find the false muzzle that can be installed replacing the V-comp and giving the revolver a more traditional look.
I will admit that in a few decades of owning this firearm, I have never put the false muzzle on mine
Engineering revision does not matter since the Performance Center only made one run back in 1999
If the revolver is unfired since leaving the factory and has been kept unhandeled during that time, pics for the purpose of determining value is not too important either.
Though the Forum does love pictures
Price is a tough thing. Most of us V-comp owners have kept them. So there is not much of a visible trend as to pricing on the used market. Also Pin matches ae nowhere near as popular as they were back in the 90s.
If you are looking for max dollars on it, the big auction site is your best bet.
Unless you are a California resident.
You never finished your profile so we do not yet know what part of the country you are in. However if it is already in California you want to keep it there, so one of the state wide boards would be your best option
