Default Wyoming Centennial

I recently acquired a Model 29 with a 6" barrel in .44 Mag. But it is not just any Model 29, but rather a Wyoming Centennial commemorative. The left side has pictures of Old Faithful and the Tetons, with text naming the two National Parks. The right side has text noting "1890-Wyoming - 1990" and is marked "83 of 100". Reportedly the weapon has never been fired, and has only a faint cylinder line from being cocked. It has beautiful wood grips and is in a wooden S&W case.
While I love it, as a Colorado and Arizona resident, I would love to see it in the hands of a Wyoming resident. Anyone?

I assist with firearms research at the Wyoming State Museum. We have a Centennial rifle and handgun, but not the 29.

How generous are you feeling?

Shoot me PM if interested.

You might consider contacting the Buffalo Bill Center of the West Buffalo Bill Center of the West | Museum in Cody, Wyoming in Cody.

Default Wyoming centennial

My father in law had one of these guns when I first met my wife!! Definitely his most prized possession as far as guns go. Long story short, he was diagnosed with cancer a few years back and had to sell the gun. He never told the family out of embarrassment. He has beat the cancer but now has other medical problems. I would like to purchase for him if still available!! He was born and raised in Wyoming and considers it his home although he now resides in Ohio
