Would magna grips work on a TRR8?
I just bought a TRR8, but it has large, rubber, grips that are visible through and stick to clothes.
What do you guys think of magna grips on an N frame?

It’s an N frame, get a set and try it. You might like it.

As to factory grips, it will depend on whether the TRR8 has a round or square butt. Square butt magnas are fairly common but few makers offer them in round butt for an N frame revolver.

I have used them on a performance center 627 and they felt good to me. Altamont makes them for round butt.

My preference is the older round butt combats that the Factory used to ship. I put these on most of the revovlers that I carry and shoot

These are all N frames. The 1917 Commercial has Service stocks and a grip adapter. The others all have Magna stocks with grip adapters. The one set is rounded. The set on the 625 is a conversion set I built to convert the RB to SB.

Groo here
If you have to have wood, just bite the bullet and order a set of customs
made to fit your hand.
It will save you money in the long run and space in the grip drawer.
Herrett comes to mind...
Ps . If kick is a problem , a set of Pachmyre [not the compact their too thick] rubber grips will work.
Smaller than Hogue.

Thank you for pics.
I bought a set of black manga grips!
Is there a way I can buy a do-it-all revolver and avoid buying more revolvers like you guys?
I bought this TRR8 hoping it would do that.

it always starts with one...."this is all I need"...
Its only the beginning. You'll be hooked in no time and planning the "collection". Enjoy

Guns are tools .. do you have just one wrench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You "can" standardize one cartridge like 357 mag but you will end up with
A short barrel, you have a long barrel , and a nice lever action rifle
"or a bolt if you can find it" to round out the list.
[ and none are those evil "Automatic assult guns] LOL

I know that G-10 is not what you would call 'traditional' but then again I don't think anything about this revolver is either! I have been running these conversions from Hogue and I am very happy with them.

I had a set of Sambar Stag N frame Magnas - They worked just fine on my 625 until I landed a set of factory Combats.

Thank in order to keep the gun tactical, I would seek out a set of black G10s. More durable than magna handles and offer more grip for better control for rapid followup shots in a close quarters battle scenario.

You could place a Round Butt Karl Nill grips on your TRR8. These grips are marvelous to shoot
