Default New 629-6

Stopped by my LGS and walked out with this. I knew last week I was going to pick this up so I ordered a set of replica “Cokes” from Altamont.

After I ordered them, Altamont sent me an email saying the wait would be anywhere from 2 to 5 weeks and if I didn’t want to wait, I could cancel the order. I decided to let the order stand and asked if they would replace the bronze medallions with silver. Two days later I got the shipping info and received them this past Friday.

They certainly look better than the rubber grips that came with the gun.

All I can do right now is sit and look at it since all shooting ranges within 50 miles of me are closed. Hopefully this doesn’t go on too long. A couple of shots for your enjoyment.

Stay healthy everyone.

Be patient, when everything returns to normal you can shoot it.
The revolver looks fantastic, congratulations.

I picked up this 629-6 before the Corona virus outbreak. I have been enjoying shooting it, and reloading for it. I live out in the sticks, so I have a personal shooting range (0-50 yards) right next to my house. I have been honing in on my revolver shooting skills during this down time. At night time I reload for it.

Nice grips with the medallion on the Hogue's!! From what I hear they are hard to find tho. I wish mine had these type of grips. Why did they stop making these style?

Default Get a Grip

The Circa '90's S&W Silver Medallion Rubber/Synthetic Grips
are hard to find!

I look for them every time I go to a Gun Shop or Gun Show.

I don't come about them to often. The set below I got for $25.
I wanted them for my 45Colt Mountain Gun below.

Thanks for looking.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think those were just used on the 629-3 & 29-5 Classics.
