Wink "EXTREME" 629

In the year 2000 the Performance Center made up 416 like this for Lew Horton.
This may or may not be one of those.
They all had fluted cylinders.

My LGS guy knew it was owned by a high up at S&W and he had the Performance Center work on it.....I didn't care.....lol

What do you think Mark ?
Should I keep it long?

Default I'm not Mark but...

Hi Paul...these are neat S&W's...I bought 3 of them when they first came out because of the novelty of them...don't have any now...sight radius too long for me and not balanced well unless you use a rest...but they are "cool"...from Performance Center Product code 170157...see page 454 of SCSW 4th Edition for info...when first came out suggested retail price was $1200...4th Edition says ANIB $2000, however I doubt you could get that in today's market...whether you should keep it is entirely up to you....why don't you shoot it and see if you like it...hope this helps...Roger

Hey Paul . . . . . My name is Mark

I would be leaning toward keeping it unless/until something more fun/interesting came along and replaced it

I am never in a hurry to get rid of something, especially if it is unusual

I would keep it. The Extreme would make an awesome hunting handgun for far shots. You do not see many Extremes around.

You don't Sir but when I found it in this craziness for a good price I knew where it belonged and it wasn't with me.

I'm very content to just abuse her some.

Since starting the thread.
Curiosity about the grips was answered.
Not bad....not bad at all.

Now you need a Bianchi Cyclone for it. But it would probably look like you were carrying a Calvary saber instead of a gun.
