Default Model 67-1 years

I have a friend that want to sell me two Model 67-1's with completely different SN formats. I am assuming that one is an earlier production and one is a later production.

The SN's are as follows:
AHY6583
30K5068

If i could get an estimated date or production?

My guess one is pre 97 and one is post 97 when they changed the firing pin safety up.

Either way I am going to get both of them, the price is to good to pass up, but would like to get a little more information if I could.

Based on the serial numbers you've provided I can tell you the second one is probably 78 but the first one with the 3 letter prefix, all I can guess is probably between 85 and 87.
