Be still my heart. I have the mountain gun, but that is a beauty. Many years ago when those LH's first hit the market I was buying them as they were released. Then the family hit some hard times and I had to sell them all off. I still wake up in a cold sweat every now and then thinking about it.

Yes, that is a beautiful revolver. I've been looking for a 5" 625 in the same caliber, very hard to find. I do have a real nice 4" 25-5 in .45 Colt and 625-2 5" in .45 ACP. They're both a real pleasure to shoot and I know you'll enjoy your new find.

Not to mention the ACP versions.

Great find!
Congrats "boats"! You have found one of 555 guns shipped to Lew Horton in 1998-2000. Your CDD gun is one of 127 guns shipped between Feb 1999 - Aug 1999.

625 3"
Good deal finding this 625.
I do not have a 625 3", but I do have a 657 3" in beautiful brushed stainless, with nearly identical grips.
They were also a special limited run from the late 1980s.
I don't remember the dealer's name, but they were listed in Shotgun News for $245. I didn't really have the money to spend, but knew they were very special and I did it anyway. The grips were stunning and a real plus when I got the gun in my hands.

Nice looking piece. I was amazed at how close that bead blast finish look compared to a Metaloy industrial hard chrome finish. And great looking stocks.
This is actually a 19-4 with a Metaloy finish.

Congratulations on a great purchase. With the right ammo you will find it to be very accurate.
Here's my 625-7 I bought new in 2000. The grips are Ahrends maple and I replaced the original thumbpiece with an earlier version. I still have the original combat grips.

I've always wanted a prelock 3" 45 Long Colt
I'd probably sell my LH overrun 29-3 3" or trade it for one. 45LC is more versatile than 44 mag IMO
