A M10 , A Friend and A Surprise

I'm sure more than a few here are like me . You know people here , consider them friends but have never met them face to face . One such friend started me wanting a PPC revolver . I've been looking , even bid on some , but when they hit $1100 , I bailed . About 2 weeks ago he texted me with a lead on one at you know where .

He tried explaining the involved bidding process , but I figured I'd wait until an hour or two before it ended . Lo and behold , I won . I couldn't wait to get my hands on it . When I did I loaded it with snap caps and oh boy , I've never felt a DA trigger like this . I know about the light primer strikes , and I'll try it out on Tuesday , range day .

Now this friend has helped me more than once , and got me started on semi auto PC pistols among others . So I gave him a little payback and told him about a PC Super9 . Isn't this what most of us do ? And he's not the only one to help me . I've had another volunteer to travel an hour to put hands on a 945 I was thinking of buying and check it out .

A upside to your purchase the gun has Bill Davis grips. I have several sets on the K frames I shot the most and really like them. Any chance Bill Davis
built the gun ?

I think Mr Davis put his name on his guns.
As I think any gunsmith doing major modifications or anybody doing nice as new restorations. An otherwise good looking but non-original gun with no identification is just aggravating.

I took it to the range today and all I can say is wow ! Now I didn't have any light strikes , it ate anything I fed it . Coming from my buddy , that leads him to think that the trigger isn't as light as it should be . But it doesn't matter to me , I have nothing to compare it to except 945's , an 845 and a 4in IDPA 9mm and I'm happier than a pig in you know what . I never knew shooting DA could be so fun . Everyone I let shoot it had a big grin on their face .

PPC guns are definitely royalty among revolvers. It sounds like yours shoots as well as it looks.

I had a few while shooting on the PD pistol team and even won a state championship with one once. If you reload for it, I found the Remington 1 1/2 primers sparking the classic 2.7 grains of Bullseye and a 148 grain HBWC/WC was about as good as it got for punching out the X and 10 Rings on the B-27 target, even back at 50 yards.
