Default A couple of questions about my latest purchase.

What else came with it?
Is December 1987 correct?
Standard Catalog said dash threes started in 86. This one is marked as a dash two. What am I missing?
Gentleman who sold it to my favorite LGS supposedly made the holster. Everything seems right with it. Lockup and timing are excellent. Cylinder gap is .006. I have no complaints. Fired round was BB 158 grain 38 Special +p. Think I am going to like this one. Thanks for the information.

Wouldnt it have came with the cleaning rod and attachments?
Other than that I dont think you're missing anything. You are right about the -2 and -3 years, but sometimes the catalog isnt real clear on many of those 3 letter prefix serial numbers. So there is a good possibility the -2 you have was actually made more in the 1986 timeframe. Only a letter would tell us for sure.

Thanks for the input. I was dating the gun by the date code on the box label. If I am reading it correctly then it should be the 345th day of 1987. Of course I have been wrong before. Thanks again. Hugh
