S&W Performance Center M-627 V-Comp
Does anyone know is this revolver is available to order? S&W shows it with a SKU but they also say it's not available now. I've had 2 dealers say it's not available but I had another that claimed they could order it for me. I'm waiting for the guy who claims he can order one to get back to me but so far, all I have is crickets.
Any knowledge on this??
Thanks,
Doug

I thought I read somewhere here that the Performance Center is closed during this crazy time, maybe that's why.
It looks like they changed the 627 V-Comp a bit since I got mine many years ago. I added a new grip and dot sight.

My own V-comp is in dry dock at the factory, awaiting a long needed refitting. After 15 years of regular monthly matches in ICORE, speed steel and occasional bowling pins, there was excessive wear on various parts including firing pin. It remains my 'most accurate' revolver. Hope to see it back sometime soon.
You gents have handsome revolvers. I installed the ICP(???) fiber optic inserts front & rear sight set, which so far has worked well.

Doug,
I know this is a silly question and you probably have already done this, but have you contacted the Factory by phone and asked them if it is available or not?
I too am a big fan of the V-comps. I have equipped mine with a second cylinder set up for 9x23 Winchester. I was thinking it would make a great pin gun
Just as a 357 Magnum can fire all of the various shorter cartridges, the 9x23 Winchester works the same way

I went to the S&W site and with the revolver description there were three links and IF their site is correct, gearfire.com says they have 9 pieces!!!
Its worth your time to call them to see if its true.

After a long and tiresome journey, I found that first, the Performance Center is alive and well and ready to help. Next, after roughly 140,000 phone calls and E-mails (LOL) I finally found one and placed it on order. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Thanks,
Doug

Doug:
I cannot recall where I got them. It was probably off of eBay several years ago. I don't think there are any maker marks, at least none that I have found. [EDITED - I just took the grips off and they are definitely marked as Culina 2015] John/Jennifer Culina (Kurac on the forum) makes some beautiful grips and I have more than a handful of their grips. Also Keith Brown is an outstanding grip maker, if you can run a set down. Expect to pay handsomely for quality lumber...
Good luck and share a few photos when you find your custom grips,

Those are made by Culina grips. They have a facebook and website. You can contact Jennifer gripmakerswife on here to place an order.
