Keith Brown is the Master!!
I just finished reading all three pages of the thread on Roper Grips in the 1896 to 1961 Sub-Forum. It was a timely read, as I was waiting for the mailman to deliver my Keith Brown Roper's while studying all those terrific pictures.
I purchased these from Roger's Guns & Grips, and couldn't be happier. He also had a stupendous set of birdseye maple and ivory KB Roper's, but I really thought that they were too over the top for my rather mundane firearm. They deserved a fully engraved, gold inlaid gun to do them justice. So I opted for the walnut ones - I didn't go totally plain Jane as I went for those with the "wave" bottom. So here they are on my Model 16-4...
I bought them intentionally for this gun, but that may not be their permanent home. I have two guns in OGAM jail at my FFL. I visited them last evening. This was my first time seeing the one gun. It is a birth year K-38 Target Masterpiece. The bluing on this gun just knocked my eyes out. I don't think I have anything in my meager collection that even comes close. So, these KB Roper's may end up on that gun. Time will tell.
Adios,
Pizza Bob

No new product on the market today I like better than Keith Brown's.
Here is a set of KB Ropers on a K22 from 1955....

Congratulations, they are stunning. I just drool over the grips on Rogers site. If I wasn’t waiting on a set of Culina’s, I probably would have already bought a set from Rogers. Once again, Congratulations

That sir, is jaw dropping. Which ever gun those land on will be the best enhancement it could have. I bet that 'made your day'.

Bob,
Your new grips look fantastic. I have a pair of his grips that I had him add some pre-war half inch silver medallions and an ivory insert to his design. They reside on my Pre-29. You certainly did not go mundane. I would think there are many more of Keith's grips with Ivory inserts than with the "wave" you got. Roger's is really proud of his KB grips, but you don't have to wait Keith's timeline.

Nice set of grips, Keith is a perfectionist with his grips. I have 2 sets of the sculpted bottoms like yours and they are comfortable to shoot with. One set is N frame checkered in Roper style and the other in K frame has no checking. Made in spalted maple. The other piece of wood is in Ohio also owned By Jselect, Larry

Keith Brown suspended his activity this year; so I bought an English walnut RoperN-frame set from Roger's grip even his prices sincerely are higher than standard KB sites (this forum for example ).
Very nice, quality is top
