I pulled my 640 out of the safe yesterday to install new main spring and rebound spring. In attempting to clear the weapon, I noticed that the cylinder release is functioning in reverse. It has to be pulled back away from the cylinder to release. Obviously, lock up is questionable. I’ve been looking on YouTube for a vid showing how to replace it, but cannot find it. Any help is appreciated.
Why don't you make a video of what you are referring too so that we can better guestimate what is going on. You can upload it to youtube
Also close up photos of the ejector rod both locked up and open and a photo of the rear of the cylinder open along with a photo of the recoil shield. Pictures can get uploaded to the Forum
