Default So I guess I've become a .357 guy...

Only carried semi's in 9 and 40 (still the case), and only had 44mags for wheelguns for hunting and target.

Then a year or so ago I got my 1st s&w .357. Now I have 3 : ')

I like to see pix when others post, so here's mine.

627 vcomp has since been fitted with a vortex venom, and is ready for deer season.

.357 Magnum shooters are just
latent .38 Special shooters who
just haven't quite matured yet.

Most of my .357's are Model 19's, along with a Model 65 and a Model 28. My Colt SAA in .357 is a favorite as well.

That's what I was collecting, .357s and .38s but, due to water damage in my 2018 fire, I sold or gave away all of the "ugly" guns. I kept the good looking ones plus one workhorse I couldn't bear to part with, a Model 10 .357 Magnum.

These are the .357s I still have:

Model 27 Classic

Model 10

Model 686+ 3"

Model 686+ 4"

Model 686+ 2.5"

No more Model 19s. Sold or given away.

My .357 Magnum is a 4" Model 65-1 with Thai PC Magna's and a BK Grips adapter. I painted the front sight with Neon Orange fingernail polish. I carried this on duty, and the last week I worked since I already had my last issue gun ready to turn in. It's loaded with Speer .357 Magnum 135 grain GDHP "Short Barrel" ammunition. Except when I'm having lower back and hip problems, this is my EDC and always my favorite gun.

Here are a few of mine. The Colt pictured is a farely rare, very early 357 model. It is the immediate predecessor to the Python.

Not too long ago I had about 20 .357 Magnums. This was my favorite group picture.
Top to bottom: 1959 8 3/8" M27, 1960 6.5" M27, 1961 6" M27, 1975 5" M27-2, 1957 4" pre-27 and my 1957 3.5" pre-27.

All but the 5" and 6.5" are gone.

My 1960 6.5" M27 is my favorite. I'm sure people are getting tired of seeing it.

I sold my LNIB 4" 686 and a 5" Stocking Dealer Exclusive 686-6+.
I sold my 1963 4" M19-2 and my LNIB 1967 6" M19-2.
I sold my 1998 5" M627-2.
I sold my 8-round 2000 Bangers 6.5" M27-7.
I sold my 1982 nickel 8 3/8 M27-2.

I kept nine .357 Magums.

This is my only nickel handgun. "S" prefix 6" M27-2 shipped Aug 1968.
When I bought the Coke Bottle Stocks for my 6.5" M27 I put the diamond Targets that it was wearing on this one.

I also have a very M520 and a few other .357 Magnums.

.357s are my favorite too.

What's not to like about a S&W .357 Magnum? My first revolver training, over 45 years ago, was with a S&W. 357.

I'm quite happy with the 38/357. With a couple of exceptions, they're all I've got these days.

Model 19-1

19-9

A pair of 2020 Colt Pythons

I've had a few other 357's over the years but I'm pretty happy with these now.

I've got a few other 38's, but they're for another time.
