I own two revolvers: A S&W Model 60 (357 Mag) and a Ruger SP101 22lr. I find the Model 60 fits my hand and seems better balanced than the SP101 series. Therefore, I am looking to trade-in and pay some difference to get a S&W Model 63 with the 3" barrel for my 22lr revolver. Is there anything I should be looking for? I am looking to buy new.
Is the Model 60 the same basic frame as the Model 63?
Yes, the M60 and the M63 are both built on the J frame. You will be better off trying to trade towards a M63 with a private individual or selling your SP101 outright. Typically, a dealer won't offer you much for your used revolver.
