Has anyone put nice wood grips on a TRR8. Gun is flat black and wondering what species of wood would look good on it. I suppose Jennifer Culina could help me. but wondering if one of you guys would have ideas. i hate the factory rubber grips.

I put the darkish wood (Moradillo) from Ahrends, they appear ok. On my R8.
I did the same with my V comp. Dark wood. (Moradillo,Ahrends) also.

Lou's on the right track. A black/dark gun tends to look better with dark grips. (IMO) Not that we're a lot of help showing Ahrends grips since they're pretty much unavailable now but this is my example of Black on Black. Black stained maple on the 44 Magnum Hunter. (Older pic. It's wearing a Leupold now )
