Default Question on New 686 Deluxe - Model 150712

Hello. Really enjoy this site. I have a quick question concerning the new 686 6" Deluxe (Model 150712). Is that a square butt (just like the old 686s) gun or a round butt? If it is a sq. butt, are they currently doing any other sq. butt guns? (586 - model 150908??)
Sorry for the question, but the Smith website doesn't seem to address that. Thanks for your help.

Default Round butt

AFAIK all current 686-6 are round butt, including the 6" version you are asking about. If you want current production square butt L frame, look at the 586 Classics in 4" and 6".

To me round butt actually is better for finding alternate grips, both compact and target, including conversions to square for who prefers larger grips. Square butt grips selections are way more limited.
