I salute you! But not with a Bud lite!
Very nice, the 6,2,9 pool balls are a nice touch.

Thanks. Of all the beer signs and lights, Bud Light is one I won't drink. Most of my bar decorations were donated over the years from a beer store I used to frequent.

I've added a couple more 629s to my collection in the last six months. But I still can't compete with that.

By forum standards,,, I realize I am "629" poor. My only contribution is my 1987 Classic Hunter. I purchased in 1987 for Pop. He never loaded it or fired it. It's mine now. At this point, I think I'll save the first shot for His Grandson (born '87),,,, or new First Great-Grandson ( last week).

That's a good looking Hunter. You're probably depriving yourself not shooting that one. Several of mine were bought 'never shot' and turned out to be some of my best guns.

You don't see many 629s that are pinned and recessed - this is a 629 4" no dash, unfired.
This 629-1 is one of a number that were grooved for Millett scope rings on the barrel.

Here's a pair of 629's. Square and round butt, standard 6" barrel, both dash 4's. Both came with Hogue rubber, I dressed 'em up with fancy wood stocks.

I have a P&R'd 6" and 8 3/8". Haven't run across the 4"er yet.
I was able to snag a dash 3 broached for the scope mounts. No rings though. Nice guns John.

I am not a big fan of the 44 Magnum
However, it is hard to have a collection of Smith & Wesson revolvers and not own a representative or two
The first couple are easy, because I do LOVE N-frame snubbies
The first 629 I ever bought was a 4" and that was mostly because there were no 3" 629s floating around back then. Not to mention it is P&R
Now when we get to 657 day, then I will pull out the Big Guns

Some very nice 629’s featured.
Like with 627’s, I’m a little short.
A plugged -6 and -4 MG...
The -6 is my carry gun when in a .44 mag frame of mind.

Hey rod buster, I guess since you're the boss you can give yourself a break for something that important! That was the pic that gave me the idea of rackin' em up on the table. How many 4"ers were you up to? 24??

Sadly, I don't own any Smith & Wesson Model 629s and probably never will, which is really sad because it's easily my favorite Revolver.
Once upon a time I had an opportunity to purchase a like new 629-2 with a 6.5" Barrel for $250, but I didn't have the money at the time so I missed out. In hindsight, I should have either found a way to scrap together $250 or asked someone to lend me the cash because I've bitterly regretted it ever since.

That's a unique gun for sure Pete. I have early and late model 29-6s, one square butt, one round.
Looove the b&w ebony grips. Might oughta call Jennifer...

Thanks Vette. I have no Idea why one of the pictures rotated in transition
That one is still only factory fired. It came with GA wood targets

Heck no
That would be excessive
One no dash
One no dash 1 transitional
One dash1
One slightly modified mountain revolver
A few newer ones that live in the range bag
And a pair of light weights

I have been waiting for 6/29 day and present my modest contribution. A 629-5 Classic DX and a 629-5, 4" with combat grips. Both are favorites and great shooters.
To bad I missed 6/10 day.
Great photos and nice collections from 1 to so many, that I lost count! Great job to all who participated.

75Vette, I hope you realize it's cheating to shoot pool using those optics!

Just "WOW"
75Vette,
I am not worthy...
I humbly offer, for your perusal, my lone 629, a dash 6, that rides on my hip, during rifle elk, deer, and 'lope, just in case the .30-06 leaves 'em wounded (it hasn't, yet).

I guess that everybody is pretty much tied up with the pictures of the guns on the pool table. I got to looking around at the pictures beyond the table and guns. Nice man cave Vette

New 629
Start off by saying that is a beautiful collection. I bought my first 629 in 1980. 10 years later I owed a buddy a big favor and he asked me to sell him that gun. With much sadness I did. He moved out of town and I never saw the gun again. Yesterday I bought another 629 and my life is now complete again. I am a happy man.
