A Smith & Wesson thank you
I am retired so when my son bought a fix-er-up to live in I donated a lot of labor to help him get moved in. We did roof work, electrical work, carpentry, flooring, you name it. I would not accept any money for my assistance, but shortly after he and his wife moved in, they showed up on my doorstep with a "thank you gift." Needless to say, dad was proud of the action and really tickled with the gift:

I have one of those and it's been shot a lot! The front sight is a little too wide for longer shots. I used mine in IDPA matches where long shots are banned.

Sounds like you and your son have a great relationship. Some of my fondest memories of my late father involve shooting, reloading, and collecting guns. Enjoy your time together... it’s a blessing!
