Picked up a new 63
I haven’t been to the gun shops in a long time.
Stopped by an old favorite (KTP) and snagged a new 3” 63.
Was out back after work this afternoon getting it dialed in.
Put close to two hundred rounds of various high velocity through it. Didn’t take long to figure out I’m really liking it.
It’s been a while since I’ve done any shooting and it felt pretty good to get some trigger time in.
Target is twenty paces from the bench, resting elbows on my bag.
Shooting single action to get her shooting were she looks.
Then it was mostly all double action at some steel. The one up in the back is about 50 yards out and it was pretty safe.

Very neat acquisition. And some good shooting off your elbows!
Years ago my grandfather gave me a short-barreled 22 revolver, which I still have. They are handy, a joy to plink with, and yet have commendable accuracy in careful hands.
Well done!

Well that's a HUGE change from the herd of 44s you're used to shooting Iron Worker!! I have an older 63 I've shot a few times but got bored with it.
It doesn't look like you got too rusty taking that time off. Nice target! Congrats there buddy and have fun.

My LGS has had A new 63 collecting dust for over a year. I was just looking at 63 prices last night, so,this thread is timely for me. Shooting .22’s never gets old. I think it’s time for me to make an offer on the LGS’ dust collector.

I bought a used 3" several years ago and now it's a favorite. Had an early 63 4" that I traded off 30 years ago. The 3" lug barrel and 8 shots sold me on the newer model. You got a nice one and good Chootin' too!

I bought a new one, 3", about a year ago I sure do enjoy shooting it.
As scarce as .22 ammo was a a few years ago it is about the only "handgun" ammo on shelves around here now.

I hear you
I’m very happy to be able to pick up some 22’s when needed without all the bull from a few years ago.
Let’s hope it lasts
