I really like stainless steel revolvers, almost all of my S&Ws are made of that material, they are easier to clean after shooting, they are not affected by sweat when hidden, and they are also pretty.

The polished blue or nickel finishes are pleasing to the eyes, but it's hard to beat stainless for ease of maintenance.

Stainless steel is my preference also. I only buy blue when nothing else is available, like in the model 41, or when availability is limited and I get a good deal on the blued steel model. Having said that, a nice highly polished blued steel revolver sure is pretty!

Have a 617-6 stainless and a 586-8 blued. Love both but the 586-8 is my favorite. Keep a light coat of Johnsons paste wax on it which makes it really stand out.

I like both equally. It’s all about balance - a yin and yang thing.

I like stainless too, have several in my collection but nothing beats out a nicely blued gun!
At one time I said I would only buy SS but like I said up above,,, I still liked blued!

I have a special place in my heart for stainless S&W's as my first issued (and second) handgun was a Model 66-1. I like the look and durability of stainless guns.

I have a few for show and tell.

625-6 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt

66-5 Lew Horton, three inch

66-2 (issued revolver)

66-1 (like my first issue gun, but a different gun.) Also a LE gun

66-2 Ashland three inch

610

696

60

940

60-4 (bottom gun)

65-5

631

629-3

629-6

629-5

My first gun period was shiny nickel, and I liked the look OK, but something about SS really gets me, especially satin SS. A satin SS N-frame with an unnotched cylinder is one of my dream guns. I make do with a couple of notched guns in the meantime..
