Default 627-3 V Comp compensator tips?

I’ve got two 627-3 Vcomps that I really like! Problem is with USPSA shooting them with the compensator tip is illegal. The tip is illegal, but also removable, but makes the barrel somewhat unattractive . S&W informed me they don’t sell the non compensated tips for them.
My question is, is there an easy way of closing off the compensating grooves in that tip?
Thanks in advance!

That revovler left the factory with the false muzzle.

It should have been in the box under the foam in a small zip loc baggie

Whoever told you that the false muzzles are not sold has no idea what they are talking about. Next time someone says NO to you ask for the supervisor

I picked up a used 627 V-comp with no box last summer, so the false muzzle was not included.

I called Smtin & Wesson the following day and ordered one. None were in stocl so it was backordered until some were available.

When you call back, order part number 245500000

Now they are somewhat expensive. MSRP on the part is over $40

Called Smith again, this time I was told no such part exists in their catalog and wouldn’t take my info!
May have to speak higher up the ladder

Someone ought to have one for sale. They're like Combat grips, S.A.T.s, cleaning kits, etc...there are unscrupulous dealers/owners who will sell them separate of the firearm in order to make more money.
