Default 19-4 nickel plated cylinder walls are scorched

This was a prop gun. In movies and such fired blanks only. All this hot gas scored the inside wall. Is it possible to hone these cylinders smooth?

A good bronze brush (oversized might be better depending on degree of fouling) and any solvent should work well.

Solvent and a tight fitting, bronze bore brush. Hopefully, the underlying nickel plating and steel are not damaged from neglect. Some blanks use black powder and black powder residue is hydroscopic, so it absorbs moisture from the air and will cause corrosion.
