Issue with a new 60-15...resolved?
Back in July, I was looking for advice on a jammed trigger. I believe other threads have described a similar problem. I sent my new revolver to Springfield for assessment and repair. Just got it back yesterday. S&W replaced the trigger, hammer, yoke and extractor. I went straight to the range and burned off 100 rounds of .38 special and everything works fine now. Unfortunately, I never did learn what the problem was, but I'm certainly glad it works now (fingers crossed).
Thanks for all he opinions and advice...

This forum is a fountain of opinions! And advice. Some of it is great, much is good. All of it is free.

While they always fix whatever I send in,
they will never tell you what the problem really was or why they replaced what they did.
I suppose that since they don't charge you, they don't have to tell you ****.

Probably long ratchets. Was the trigger sticking or hanging up at the rear of the pull, or not returning forward?

I have found this to be true to the letter.
They will fix it for you, but never tell you a dang thing.

I have a NIB unfired 60-14. (since leaving the factory May 2017)
Makes me wonder if it has any issues.

No they won’t tell you. I don’t blame them either.
They don’t want to air their dirty laundry, nor admit any liability.
Glad you got it back in working order.

Bingo Mr. Chukar, litigious inclined persons could work the company using company supplied information.

So, the troublesome 60-15 is in Springfield for the third time. The trigger, extractor, yoke and hammer were replace on the first trip, the barrel was realigned on the second trip, and now I just received an email that the frame is being swapped because of a broken trigger rotator stud on the frame. This will mean the gun will get a new serial number. Nine months old with 600 rounds of .38 and 8 rounds of .357 through it.
Wow! Will it even be the same gun?
